Terrastina visits her friend who lives in an old dairy that has been converted into a primitive studio apartment, retaining its concrete floor and unpainted cinder block walls. Terrastina steps around puddles of water as she enters. You got flooded, she says. Oh yeah, says the friend. That’s the downside of living here, but the rent is dirt cheap.
