Episode 334: The Power of Nature

Terrastina finds an eagle feather on the grass near the path running by the river. She picks it up. It feels new, as though it had just been made. She takes it to the Sheriff’s office. I really wanted to keep this feather, she tells the deputy on duty, but I know it’s illegal for non natives to own eagle feathers. The deputy nods and picks up the feather. He twirls it in his hand. We’ll call Fish and Wildlife, he says. His gaze turns dreamy. His voice softens. They’ll know exactly what to do with it, he says.
