Just after Terrastina and Mazolli close up The Brew they hear a sharp squeal and an ominous sound of breaking metal. What was that? says Mazolli. Don’t know, says Terrastina. Sounds like it came from the tracks. Soon they hear the wail of sirens and see ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars speed down the street to the railroad crossing near the dock. People get out of the vehicles and hurry down the track. We should take them some coffee, says Terrastina. Mazolli nods. Let’s make it real quick and go down there. I want to see what happened.
