Episode 302: Trauma

In the morning Terrastina looks outside and sees the concrete statue of Quan Yin in her garden pitched forward and resting face down in the strawberry patch. She goes outside and excavates some of the dirt from Quan Yin’s footprint, then tips her back up and into the hole so she is standing straight again. Terrastina examines the statue’s face and flowing robes. Quan Yin’s hands and knees are stained green from her fall. Terrastina gets a wet cloth and gently wipes the stains away. When she is finished she rests her hand on Quan Yin’s smooth white shoulder.
