Each of the twins loses a tooth. They show Terrastina who says, you know what to do with those, right? The twins nod. That night Terrastina checks under their pillows, but finds no teeth. The next morning she tells them the tooth fairy came last night but didn’t leave any money because they didn’t leave their teeth under their pillows. The twins furrow their foreheads. We threw our teeth onto the roof yesterday, they say. That way our new teeth will grow in straight. What’s all this about a tooth fairy? Terrastina shrugs. Just something I heard, she says.
