Dozens of amateur heavy metal bands, in town for a festival, invade the fairgrounds near Terrastina and Mazolli’s house. They play window rattling music from nine in the morning straight through to three the next morning for five days running. Mazolli calls the sheriff to complain. The whole house is vibrating, he says, it’s terrible. We can’t do anything about it, says the deputy, they have a valid permit. Mazolli hangs up the phone and tells Terrastina what the deputy told him. You mean we can get a permit to annoy our neighbors? asks Terrastina. That is so cool.
