Episode 177: Just a Few Moments Out of a Day

Terrastina stops her bike at an intersection to let some pedestrians cross. Her foot rests lightly on the pavement. Cool bike, says a boy as he walks by. Thanks, says Terrastina. A car stops beside her. The driver rolls down his window. How do I get to Loop Avenue? he asks. Terrastina points forward and hooks her hand to the left, indicating the man should follow the curve of the road. Keep going and you’ll get there, she says. The man waves and drives off. Terrastina sits silently for a second before pushing off the pavement and pedaling away.
