Episode 273: Muses

Terrastina and Mazolli go to the library to attend a public reading of Terrastina’s friend’s epic poem titled A Natural History of Penguins. The author, a well known local, has attracted a sizable audience for her reading. She sits on a high stool at the front of the room. Before she begins she asks Terrastina why the twins didn’t come. I thought, says Terrastina, they are too young to get this kind of poetry. I figured they would be bored. I’m so disappointed, says her friend. I really wanted them to be here. I dedicated the poem to them.
