Episode 348: It Sounded Like Fun at First, Then it Got to be a Bit of a Chore
Mazolli answers an ad for volunteers to read to the blind. Some weeks later he gets a package in the mail with a tape recorder and a dozen cassette tapes. I’m supposed to read the book onto these tapes, he tells Terrastina. Then they make copies of them. Blind people can borrow the copies and listen to my voice reading a book. That’s cool, says Terrastina. What are you going to read? I haven’t figured that out yet, says Mazolli. He checks out a stack of novels from the library and sits with them, waiting for inspiration to strike.
