Episode 167: Familiar Rituals

On Halloween night the twins put on ghost costumes made from old sheets and step into the dusk with Terrastina. They run up to the door of the first house and ring the bell until a man comes out and hands them candy. Terrastina waits at the sidewalk, watching. Say thank you, she says. Thank you, say the twins. You are welcome, says the man. The twins continue on to the next house. A black cat runs across the sidewalk, then stops in a yard and watches the twins. Ah, says Terrastina. Welcome, my friend, to your special night.
