Episode 157: It’s All About the Joy

The twins lie sprawled on the couch, sleeping. Terrastina quietly gets her sketch book, sits on the coffee table, and begins drawing them. The sound of her pencil rapidly scratching the paper fills the living room. She finishes one page and starts another. Before long she has several pictures of the twins. Mazolli enters from the kitchen. Oh, he whispers, you’re drawing them. You haven’t drawn them in a long time. I know, says Terrastina without looking up. They never hold still long enough anymore. The twins stir slightly. Terrastina and Mazolli stop talking immediately. They remain completely motionless.
