Episode 143: Minority of One

Terrastina answers her summons for jury duty. She arrives at the court house early with many others. She waits a long time, then is called to the court room and discovers the defendant is a bicycle thief. His lawyer asks if Terrastina has ever had a bicycle stolen. She says yes and the judge excuses her. The others smile at her as she leaves. You’re lucky, one whispers, I wish I could be going home like you. Yeah, says Terrastina, lucky.
