A man enters The Brew and shows Mazolli a foreign coin. I found this in the river, he says. What country is it from? Mazolli examines the coin. On one side he can barely make out a date: 1929. On the other side he sees a worn image of a crown between two lions. The lettering is indecipherable. He hands the coin back to the man. I have no idea what country it’s from, he says. The man looks annoyed. I’m just a visitor here, he says. This is your river. You should know where this coin came from.
