Episode 162: Choices

Mazolli finds a picture of Terrastina, holding a lit cigarette, from when she was a teenager. Terr, he says, I had no idea you used to smoke. She looks at the picture and grimaces. I guess everyone does stupid things when they’re young, she says. I smoked for a couple of months because my father smoked, then I got smart and stopped. I’ve wanted to rip that picture up a hundred times. I didn’t want the twins to see it and get ideas, you know? But it’s a reminder of what I might have been. And glad I’m not.
