Episode 140: The Mysterious Ways of Nature

Mazolli takes the twins into the woods. They find deep claw marks on trees. That’s probably from a bear or a cougar, says Mazolli. The twins look at the gouges with open mouths. Bear or cougar? they say. Don’t worry, says Mazolli, they have no interest in us. As he talks a flame of dragonflies approaches and loops around Mazolli’s head repeatedly, then flies away. Dad! say the twins. How did you do that? Well, says Mazolli, dragonflies just like to see me whenever I come out here. They think of me as their best friend, more or less.
