Episode 70: A Sweetness in the Soul

Mazolli drives the twins to a house on the mountain. A sign at the driveway bears the words: Fresh Honey 4 Sale. Mazolli parks the car in a clearing beside an old shack. A woman comes out to greet them. The twins jump out of the car. Can we have some honey? ask the twins. The woman laughs. I’ll ask the bees if they want to give you some. She smiles at Mazolli as the twins run past her to the hives behind the shack. How’s business? asks Mazolli. Can’t complain, says the woman. The hives keep me busy.
