Episode 65: Summer Fruit

Close your eyes, says Terrastina to Mazolli. He does as requested, without hesitation, waiting. Terrastina comes and sits on his lap. Now open your mouth, she says. Mazolli drops his jaw and is rewarded with a large strawberry on his tongue. He chews and swallows. That’s good, he says. Too good. Terrastina laughs. I thought you might like it, she says. My garden is producing berries like you wouldn’t believe. Want another? Mazolli opens his mouth. Terrastina puts another strawberry on his tongue. Why do they taste so much better when you are feeding them to me? he asks.
