For weeks Mazolli stops at thrift stores and browses through the dollar bins looking for clothes of all kinds. Before long he amasses a large collection of shirts, pants, dresses, and scarves. What’s up? asks Terrastina. You’ve never been interested in clothes before. It’s not the clothes, says Mazolli. I’m after the fabric. Clothes have all kinds of interesting patterns and colors. Have you ever noticed? Yeah, Moz, says Terrastina, I’ve noticed. But what are you looking for? I’m going to take up quilting, says Mazolli.
