I like this theory about everyone being connected by six steps of acquaintances, says Mazolli, but I’m pretty sure they got the number wrong. I’m thinking I can connect myself to anyone else in the world by using only five degrees. I don’t think the six degrees is an exact figure, says Terrastina. It’s just supposed to be a kind of principle. Mazolli nods. Well, okay, but then they shouldn’t be so exact in the number. They should call it Small Degrees of Separation or something like that.
