Episode 229: Oracle

Terrastina, walking downtown, turns a corner and stops. Her hair stands on end. A boy and his mother walk past her. I wouldn't go any further than that if I were you, she says. The mother turns and looks at Terrastina. Okay, she says. A few seconds later a man tumbles onto the sidewalk from a doorway leading to the liquor store. He lays sprawled on the concrete for a few seconds, then shakes his head, stands, and walks away. The mother with the boy looks at Terrastina. Safe now? she says. Terrastina nods. Go in peace, she says.
