Snow falls all night. In the morning it is three feet deep. Terrastina and Mazolli consider not opening The Brew, but do not want to disappoint their regulars. They open and do brisk business all day. Mazolli tells some customers how he spent an hour digging out of the driveway that morning. He also cleared the sidewalk in front of the church across the street, says Terrastina. He thinks this’ll get him points with god. She laughs. No, no, says Mazolli, that’s not it at all.
