At the end of a day at The Brew a lot of newspaper pages lie scattered on the tables, the counter, the window ledges, the chairs, and the floor. Terrastina collects them into piles and periodically takes them to the recycling center. Thanks for the dead trees, says the woman who works there. No problem, says Terrastina. Here’s some dead beans for you. She hands over a cup of coffee. Oh, that’s so nice, says the woman as she lifts the plastic lid off the paper cup. I like that the cup is made from recycled paper, says Terrastina.
