Terrastina comes home with a large snake skin. Moz, you remember my friend with the anaconda? she asks. Sure, says Mazolli, but I thought her landlady made her get rid of it. Yeah, says Terrastina, but she can’t bear to let it go, so she’s hiding it. Sneaking in hamsters to feed it. It just shed. Terrastina wraps the skin around Mazolli’s neck. His eyes widen. He puts his hand between the skin and his throat. How do you hide an anaconda? he asks. Aren’t they over eight feet long? Terrastina smiles. Snake lovers have their ways, she says.
