Episode 41: No One Told Them Penguins Don’t Fly

The twins make an airplane from two chairs, arranged one behind the other, and three sofa cushions: two long ones stretching out from either side of the chairs for the wings, and a short one for the tail section. They take off and follow a flock of migrating penguins to Antarctica. It’s cold here, says the pilot. I know, says the copilot, that’s why I brought my coat and mitts. They lean to the right, banking their craft over ice floes until they ease into the center of the flock. All the penguins have shiny wings like candle wax.
