Episode 290: Don’t Even Talk to Me About Metaphors

Terrastina turns on the television and watches the snow. I love the static, she tells Mazolli. It’s like visual white noise. After five minutes of it I get into this trance state where I can do my painting. Mazolli nods. Whatever works, he says. Later she shows him her drawing for the day: a representation of a television set rendered in the style of petroglyphs. As Mazolli admires the drawing they hear a crash in the other room. They rush to the source of the sound and find the television set on the floor with its picture tube shattered.

Personally, I used to prefer the test patterns. Very hypnotic.

Loved this one. Metaphors indeed!
