A driver in a passing car waves at Terrastina and Mazolli who are taking a walk through town. Mazolli waves back. Who was that? asks Terrastina. Don’t know, says Mazolli. But you waved at him, says Terrastina. I wave at everyone and anyone who waves at me, says Mazolli. It makes people feel better when you wave at them. Plus, they remember if you don’t. If I hadn’t waved back, that guy would have been in The Brew in a couple of days and said, Hey, what’s up? I waved at you. Are you too good to wave back?
