Episode 252: Noted for Future Reference

The twins listen to birds outside, then imitate their songs. What are the birds saying? asks Terrastina. They like to talk about the wind and sunflower seeds and which trees have the nicest branches for resting on, say the twins. Very interesting, says Terrastina. And what are you saying when you talk to them in bird talk? The twins scrunch up their shoulders and lift their arms and spread their hands. We don’t really know, they say. We think we’re saying hello but we could be way wrong. We aren’t birds, you know. We don’t have beaks or feathers.
