Episode 243: The Splendor and Glamour of Tools

Mazolli uses a plastic snow shovel to clear the front steps after a snow storm. A crack in the shovel grows bigger with each scoop. Eventually the blade snaps off at the crack. Mazolli sighs and tosses the pieces into the garbage can. He trudges down to the hardware store. Any shovels left? he asks. Just got a shipment yesterday, says the clerk at the counter. We knew we were going to need them. He produces a sturdy and shiny specimen for Mazolli’s perusal. Oh my, says Mazolli, that’s a nice shovel. I’m so glad I came here today.
