Episode 187: Life Flight

A roaring above the house awakens Terrastina and Mazolli. They go to the window and look outside. Lights from overhead flash across the lawn. A helicopter slides into view and touches down in a clearing at the end of the street. A fire engine, ambulance, and police cruiser cluster near the helicopter. Paramedics pull a stretcher from the ambulance and load it onto the helicopter. It bears a small shape. Within seconds the helicopter rises and begins flying toward the city. Terrastina and Mazolli breathe quietly. Hope they’re okay, says Terrastina. I’ll go check on the twins, says Mazolli.
