Episode 45: Morning Dew

Terrastina takes the twins to the park where they join a dozen others facing a man in his late eighties who demonstrates tai chi. He bows. Everyone bows back. The twins begin giggling and put their hands over their mouths. The man laughs with them, showing brown teeth and gaps where teeth have gone missing. He lifts his leg and his arms. Everyone follows along. The twins absorb the motion and the pose. They focus on the man like he is an ice cream cone they want to devour. The man’s fingers tremble like a leaf dipped in wind.
