Episode 314: What’s Left Behind

Mazolli looks out through the front window and sees a piece of cardboard on the lawn. Where did that come from? he asks. The wind must have blown it in from somewhere, says Terrastina. Mazolli goes outside to retrieve the cardboard. As he bends down he notices a pale gray translucent tube in the grass. He lowers his head further to get a better look. It is a snake skin, ten inches long, tapered to a point at one end, the imprint of jaws and eyes preserved at the other. Terrastina, he calls, you’ve got to come see this.
